US Seminar April 17th 2010 with Sensei Vince Morris

The seminar will hosted by the Washington D.C. Shotokan Karate Club.
Date and time: April 17. First session 11-12:30; second session 1:30-3pm.

Location: Jelleff Boys and Girls Club, 3265 S St, NW, Washington DC (Cross streets: Wisconsin Avenue and S St, NW., in Georgetown)

Main Topic: Bunkai of the Heian / Pinan kata.

Fee: $35

Waiver: we will require participants to sign a typical medical/liability waiver form.

Who may attend: anyone in good health, 18 and over

US Summer Camp 4,5,6 th June

This year's training will take place again during the first weekend in June 4th, 5th & 6th! We have a new venue here in New Jersey, the Rowan University campus: www.rowan.edu/map/

As every year, we particularly welcome newcomers and those who have never trained in Kissaki before.

UK Kissaki-Kai Seminar Series with Sensei Don Came 6th Dan

Black belt sessions are open to all kissaki students, 3rd kyu and above.

Sessions will cover:
Looking into the biomechanical principles of striking, power generation etc
A better appreciation of anatomy and how it can benefit our karate
The rules of combat
Improving keri waza
Developing bunkai as tegumi exercises - enabling a complete training regime to be developed around grade specific kata

The floor will be open to kissaki instructors to share their ideas and to take a look at how the kihon are being applied across the board.

• is the European representative for ISOK (international Society of Okinawan/Japanese Karate-Do),
• is a Physical Intervention Training Consultant – TASK International & ANSON Tactical,
• is a Law Enforcement Training Services (LETS) – certified coach,
• is on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s) Level 3 Senior Instructor,
• is the Former Eastbourne Borough Council self defence coordinator, Youth Protection Programme,
